President George W. Bush greets supporters following his speech in Perry, Georgia. Bush was in Perry to rally for House candidate Mac Collins and a Republican Victory in the midterm elections. A week later, Republicans, including Mac Collins, lost control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate. The Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, also resigned.
